Veronika brought our masks back to us today - all ready to perform with! We had so much fun - finding tension, displaying emotion, running through imaginary forests... Have a look!
We had our second visit from Veronika today, and it was great fun! We are going to explore mask making as part of our endangered animals project, and we started our lesson with some dramatic facial expressions! We continued to make masks out of our recycled materials, and discovered how one face can be interpreted a lot of different ways. Click 'Read More' below to see our first masks!
We are very lucky to have been granted a project with the Artists in Schools scheme. Our visiting artist is Veronika Straberger, and today was her visit with our class. We did a lot of games exploring space and balance, and we have been collecting recyclables for the last week, which we finally used. We looked at balancing shape and colour individually and with small groups, and we started our group portfolios.
The four Irish wild animals we will be looking at are: pygmy shrew, red squirrel, pine marten and hen harrier.
4th, 5th and 6th in the prefab!
