We got another delivery of books for our PM+ library this week, and we are dying to get into them! It's so much fun to know we will have a new book to take home every week and read for our friends and family! We hope you are enjoying it as much as we are!

Aaaaaand that's the end of Power Hour for 2nd and 3rd classes! It's been so much fun over the last six weeks - and very busy! But, as you know, we are very hard workers and very smart pupils and we were fantastic. This week we did secret agent letters, crazy shared stories, Christmas puzzles and we read the final books of our current section. We are champions!
One of the activities we did this week was Blind Writing. We had to listen carefully to some dictation, and then write it out from memory - while blindfolded! It was very tricky, and we were very surprised by the results! Have a look in 'Read More;!
It's hard to believe there are only two weeks of Power Hour left. We did excellent work at all our stations this week. We've really got the hang of it now! Have a look at some of our work from this week under 'Read More' and don't forget to check out our Instagram for updates!
We are covering so much work during Power Hour, that it's nearly hard to remember it all sometimes! As well as reading A LOT of new books this week, we did dictionary work, cloze activities, grammar tasks, phonics, dictation and handwriting. Can you believe we fit that all into one hour?! We're brilliant! Have a look at our Instagram to keep up to date with our activities!
Another great week of Power Hour work under our belts! 2nd and 3rd classes worked hard on a lot of literacy skills this week: reading, dictionary work, grammar, comprehension and handwriting! And what's more, we had fun doing it! Click "Read More" to see our gallery.
We launched right into Power Hour in 2nd and 3rd classes this week. It was tough work, but we rose to the challenge! Our first group of Power Hour Champions also got their certificates and stampers this week. Well done, Senior Infants and 1st class!!!!
It's our last week of Power Hour! It's been a great six weeks. Everyone has worked incredibly hard, with lots of excellent reading, spelling and writing practice. Well done to all the Senior Infants and 1st class!
Ex-Hurricane Ophelia thought she was more powerful than us, but we stayed safe and then powered through our Power Hours this week to make up for it!
