This month we made butter in 5th and 6th class. When cream is shaken, the fat molecules in the cream leave their normal position and clump together. After a while, all of the fat molecules cling together, forming a lump of butter and leaving the buttermilk behind. After all our hard work shaking the cream, we enjoyed some butter and crackers. Delicious!!
Today we went out on to the playground for our math lesson and designed and measured the perimeter of shapes using a metre stick. First, we drew the shapes using chalk and then we worked out the perimeter.
