Lots of fun dressed up in our costumes for World Book Day. We talked about some of our favourite books, including Ms. Gardiner's favourite "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". We made our very own caterpillars and took turns retelling the story together.

We had a busy few days in Junior Infants this week. We had pancakes with some of our favourite toppings on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we made cards for our friends and family for Valentine's Day. We also loved doing hip-hop dancing in the hall during the day! :)
Junior Infants were delighted to have Ms. McConn’s class visit us for St. Brigid’s Day. We learned about the story of St. Brigid and we were kindly shown how to make a St. Brigid’s cross.
Here are some pictures of the Junior Infants having lots of fun learning in their classroom.
Sorting, moving and grooving at a playdough disco and making healthy lunches with out playdough are just some of the activities we have been doing this month. For Science Week 2022, 3rd and 4th class took part in a hands-on experiment to investigate how materials can change their state of matter, as well as the effects of heating and cooling on liquids, solids and gases. As the part of this the students made their own ice-cream which they enjoyed on a cone on a chilly November day.
Third and Fourth class were learning about different types of materials as part of their science lesson. In pairs they explored outside the school to see what materials made up different features of the school yard.
