We had a fun day today to continue our communion celebrations. We enjoyed playing lots of different games as well eating some yummy treats. To top it all off, we watched our Communion Day on the big screen. 
​All of the children that made their communion did such a good job, we are all very proud of them :-)

We had a lot of fun on our Easter egg hunt today. We had to solve clues to find all our easter eggs. We had two winners in our classroom from the easter drawing competition too,, well done!! A fun day playing, eating yummy trats and watching a funny video. Happy Easter to all.

We had a very busy day today celebrating all things Irish. We did a marching parade with the whole school, a fun quiz to test our knowledge on St Patrick, completed our artwork, learned Irish Chéile dances from the senior girls  and even performed the Haka as Gaeilge for them. It has really got us in the mood for all our St Patrick's Day celebrations. Happy long weekend everybody :-)

Happy Mother's Day to all our Mammies in 2nd & 3rd class. The children were very busy creating wonderful surprises for you. Lovely cards, poems, flowers and special jars full of love.

The children had great fun dressing up as their favourite characters and bringing in their favourite books to talk about. They enjoyed creating their very own book covers and we also did a World Book Day Quiz to test our knowledge on how many books we knew about. We had an assembly in the hall so the children had the opportunity to have a look at all the other characters that came to school today.

Well done to our 2nd class competition winners!! They received some yummy treats from Monaghan's Centra for their efforts :-)
