Today we learnt about sound waves and how they can travel from one point to another.
We made and decorated our own telephones using string and cups. We had lots to chat about using our telephones.

To celebrate 'Engineers Week 2019' we watched a documentary on Netflix all about different kinds of engineers.
It is called 'Dream Big'. We really enjoyed it and it made us realise how valuable engineers are in todays world. We also got to see how a robot (that was programmed by automation engineers) can assemble the cars that we ride in every day. We were really excited when we got to bring home our very own robot. Some of us are going to dream big and become engineers when we grow up! Today we celebrated 'World Book Day' in our school. We all brought in our favourite book for show and tell.
We also played some games online on the world book day website. We designed our own bookmarks and even got to laminate them to keep them safe forever. Happy World Book Day! Today we celebrated Pancake Tuesday/Shrove Tuesday. We learnt why we celebrate it and how other countries celebrate it too! We read a story called 'The Runaway Pancake' at home time. The best part of the day though was decorating and eating our yummy pancakes!
Today we had to use our sense of smell to figure out what was in each cup.
We had great fun trying to guess what each smell was. Some were yummy smells like chocolate but nobody liked the smell of vinegar! |
