 Halloween monsters and witches on the prowl in our classroom today!

We are very busy in our classroom everyday but sometimes it is good to take a break and relax by doing some mindful meditation. It helps us to listen better, relax and we really enjoy getting comfy on the floor and using our imaginations to travel to different places. Aistear plays a vital role in the development of each pupil. In the Infant room we participate in Aistear every morning. This months theme was 'At the Doctors'. We had some very ill patients and some very busy receptionists in the surgery! Veronika, a local artist, came into our class today to teach us all about bugs. We made lots of different bugs using paint, clay, playdough and paper. Have a look and see our creations! Today we learnt about the force of air. We made our own mouse rocket and launched them into the air. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....BLAST OFF!!! Today we planted a Guelder-rose Tree with Mrs Garvey to celebrate Tree Day 2018. We learnt all about trees and what we can use them for. We went on a walk to the church to give a tree a hug on their special day! Tree Day Joke: What did the little leaf say to the big Leaf? Leaf me alone! :) Went on an autumn hunt today with our partners. We used all of our senses to explore the season of Autumn. |
