We have been doing a lot of work about trees in the lead up to National Tree Day. We are learning a lovely poem about a little acorn - make sure to ask us to say it for you! We're really good at it!
We went for a nature walk today to see a giant horse-chestnut tree in our town. We were able to collect a lot of leaves and a lot of chestnuts. We might even be able to play a few games of conkers, since we have so many! On our walk we also saw the lovely new photo spot for Headford Lace, and we had to stop and take a group photo! We were able to name some other trees we spotted too - Ash, Mountain Ash, Oak, Copper Maple, Sycamore and Beech.
