We wish everyone a lovely summer, and a relaxing break from the timetable of the school day! On our last few days in school, awards were given out to pupils who had the least absences. It's very important to stay at home and recover if you get sick, so that you don't pass on germs to other people! There are also some events in our lives that we just have to attend. For these reasons, schools give out Attendance Awards to pupils who tried their very best all year, not just those who had no absences. Well done everyone! We also want to say a huge congratulations to Sarah Jane, who won the Mrs McNamara Spirit of the School Cup. Sarah Jane has always represented the school extremely well, she is helpful, kind and caring, she is a hard worker and a good friend. We will miss her, and all of our 6th class, but we wish them the very best of luck in their new schools!

Well done to all the children who participated in Sports Day 2016! We had loads of events, and everyone was in good humour for the day, even though the weather wasn't very summery! Enjoy some clips from video we took that day below. To see more photos from our sports day, go to our News page. We went on our school tour to the Let's Go camp in the Kingfisher Club in NUI Galway. It was brilliant fun! Watch our video below for some of the activities we did! Many of our classes took walks through the town during The Nesting Lark event, which was part of the Galway 2020 City of Culture bid. We looked at the discovery Bird Boxes, the murals, and the wildflowers and history around Headford.
Check out each class page for their updates on recent activities, and our news page for a gallery of our visits and walks to The Nesting Lark exhibits. Congratulations to Kate, who received her certificate for representing the school by her participation in Tech Week 2016!
