We had a fantastic day in Bunratty Castle this year! 2nd-6th classes hopped on the bus early in the morning and drove all the way to county Clare. At Bunratty, we got a tour of the castle itself, through dungeons and great halls and ancient bedrooms, right up to the towers at the top! In the folk park we split into groups and visited all of the little houses and shops (we especially loved the sweet shop!). We also got to see loads of animals - and even a cow being milked! There was time for a visit to the playground, the fairy village and a few rolls down a big hill! It was a brilliant day!
